Ask The Tooth Doctor

Dr. Peter Yoo scaled -

Welcome to Ask The Tooth Doctor!

We believe that your overall health and well being begins with a healthy mouth and smile. Our blog page seeks to answer some commonly asked questions that patients have when they visit our Ellerslie dental office, 75 street dental clinic, and Tofield dental office.

The Tooth Doctor, Dr. Peter Yoo and his team are excited to bring new dental health tips on a regular basis. You can also see new videos updated before we post them to this page on our YouTube channel “The Tooth Doctor YEG”.

We look forward to seeing you very soon!

Who Are These Videos For?

The Tooth Doctor Edmonton dental clinics are passionate about the oral health of individuals and families. There are a lot of resources out there that anyone could Google, but we wanted to have our own personal touch on the information our patients and fans receive. We used to do blogs, but now we find a video is an easier format to hear the information and understand at your convenience. Plus you get the chance to see Dr.Yoo and the team before you come to our Edmonton dental offices.

Why Did You Change to Videos from Blogs?

When was the last time you read a blog? For most of us, we do not read as often as we should, especially online information. We typically skim over the material at best or we read the headline and possibly a paragraph or two. Watching a video is much more convenient than reading a blog post. By changing our format, we are able to reach more patients with great tips on dental health and the latest dental technology to make visiting The Tooth Doctor a better experience.

Why Give Away Dental Advice For Free?

The simple answer as to why we give out free dental advice, is that we believe that an informed patient is better off than an uninformed one. By providing useful dental information and advice for free, patients can make better decisions with their dental care in Edmonton or in other cities. By giving, we receive. Our goal is to improve the health of as many people as possible. If by creating these videos we help people, then our mission is a success.

Will I Be Able to Self Diagnose My Dental Pain By Watching These Videos?

Absolutely not!
Self diagnosis is not only a huge pet peeve of doctors, but it can be dangerous. Think about it this way…does reading a book on flying an airplane make you a pilot? Of course not. At The Tooth Doctor Ellerslie dental, we want our patients to be informed when making dental decisions, not become at-home dental practitioners.

If you have questions about your dental health please call The Tooth Doctor’s dental offices in Edmonton and Tofield to schedule a Free Consultation or to book an exam with Dr. Peter Yoo.

Do You Recommend That Your Patients Watch These Videos?

Yes! The Tooth Doctor Edmonton dental office videos are a great way to learn about the various dental procedures that we offer such as:

  • Invisalign® clear teeth straightening
  • T4K appliances for kids
  • Dental implants
  • Botox® treatment

How Can I Share These Videos With My Friends?

If you really like what you’ve heard on our Ask The Tooth Doctor page and you want to share it with friends or family members, there are a couple of ways you can do so. The first way would be to share the page with them. Simply copy and paste https://thetoothdoctor.ca/ask-the-tooth-doctor and send it by text, instant message, or email. If there is one video that you want to share you can get the share link from The Tooth Doctor YEG YouTube channel’s video. We recommend that you watch the videos in the pockets of free time during the day. Each one is approximately ten minutes in length so grab a cup of coffee, get comfortable and enjoy.
It is okay if you get bored while listening to or watching our videos. They may be a great sleep aid if you suffer from insomnia. Discussing dentistry might be a little dry, unless you are considering a career in dentistry or joining the team at The Tooth Doctor.

Why Not Have Paid Actors In Your Videos?

Dr. Peter Yoo and the team want our patients to see who we really are, unscripted and real. To make videos of studio quality would take enormous amounts of time and thousands of dollars to produce. The point behind the Ask The Tooth Doctor vlog is to educate, inform and entertain. We hope that we are able to teach people about dental procedures, dental hygiene, dental insurance coverage, and answer commonly asked questions from our patients. We know our videos are not the highest quality videos available today and we are okay with that. We hope you are too.

Do You Take Requests?

Yes we do! If you have a question that you would like Dr. Peter Yoo to answer on Ask The Tooth Doctor please submit your request to info@thetoothdoctor.ca . We will do our best to answer your question on a video and post it to The Tooth Doctor YEG YouTube channel and post it on our page. If there is a particular topic where we did not go deep into the subject and you would like to learn more, please send in a request and we will be glad to make more videos on that dental topic.

Are You Looking For Guests?

Collaborating with other dental professionals, dental technicians, or representatives is welcome. Seeing new faces and hearing different stories and perspectives would be quite refreshing and add more relevant and interesting dentistry related information for our patients.
